It was a cold winters day, but a warm welcome was given to our great Sponsor "Peoplecare"  Health Insurance.

Peoplecare have been a fantastic Community Sponsor to Fernhill over the past 12 years primarily coming on board
as our Youth Cup Sponsor then encouragingly supporting our young Ball-persons each successive year.

It has been a fantastic relationship which we hope can and will continue for many years to come.

For all those people in Fernhill Land, Peoplecare are offering a $100 donation to Fernhill for everyone who joins up and what better
time than now with the increased charges being made for Health Insurance.  Have a look at Peoplecare's web-page or speak to then for a great deal,
always mentioning that you are a member of Fernhill Football Club,  Juniors or Seniors, it doesn't matter.

First Grade Match Report v OakFlats:

'The colt from 'Old Regret'

Dominated possession, dominated chances, an, incorrectly, disallowed goal, poor officiating but, in the final analysis, when we miss 2 penalties, one right on full time, at 1-1, we can only blame ourselves, Oak Flats had 3 shots in the game compared to our 20! How we contrived to draw 1-1 has haunted me all weekend.

Corrimal or Warilla, given the chances we were, would have beaten OF's by 6. It's fantastic that we play good attacking football and create lots of chances but we, either, need to start converting more of our chances, or we need to recruit a No.9 who can 'stick' the ball in the back of the net.

Our defence was caught out once from a long ball on a bumpy pitch but overall we were in control of the game for long periods.

It was really disappointing to come away with just 1 point when Warilla, Thiroul and Helensburgh, all lost. Corrimal are 7 points clear of us when it should have been 5.

Thirroul will not be as generous, as Oak Flats, so there will be plenty of work to be done this week.  As always our effort was fantastic. We look a fit side with plenty of goal opportunities in us. We've just got to put 'em away more regularly.

All the best, Dan
